    Battery Associates Powering Battery Innovation Limited ("we", "us") is the data controller of personal data processed through the BatteryMBA programme and website.

    1. Personal data we collect

    • Identity & contact: name, email, company, role, country, LinkedIn URL.
    • Application: your motivation, referral code used, how you heard about us.
    • Account: login credentials, profile information.
    • Programme delivery: attendance, participation, support messages.
    • Technical: IP address, device information, usage telemetry.

    2. Purposes and legal basis

    • Reviewing applications and delivering the programme (contract).
    • Communicating with you about your application, enrolment and programme experience by email and phone (contract / legitimate interests). This includes reminders during the application process and follow-up contact after the programme ends. You can opt out of post-programme or marketing contact at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in emails or contacting us directly.
    • Security and fraud prevention (legitimate interests / legal obligation).
    • Improving the programme (legitimate interests).
    • Recording, editing and using session recordings and participant contributions (including voice, image, likeness, chat and submitted materials) for programme delivery, marketing, future cohorts and other commercial purposes, as set out in the Terms & Conditions (contract / legitimate interests).
    • Marketing communications where we rely on your consent, or where you have an existing relationship with us and the law permits it without separate consent (consent / legitimate interests).

    3. Sharing

    We share personal data with:

    • Our third-party payment provider for the sale, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
    • Service providers (hosting, analytics, learning platform such as Disco.co, customer support).
    • Guest lecturers and faculty who deliver sessions on the programme, under written confidentiality terms (limited to attendee name, organisation, role, country and LinkedIn URL for session preparation only).
    • Professional advisers (legal, accounting).
    • Authorities where required by law.

    4. International transfers

    Data may be transferred outside the EEA to service providers. Where it is, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

    5. Retention

    We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or to comply with legal obligations, then delete or anonymise it.

    6. Your rights

    Under EU GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with your local EU/EEA data protection authority (in Ireland, the Data Protection Commission). We respond to requests within 1 month.

    7. Security

    We use appropriate technical and organisational measures (encryption, access controls, vetted sub-processors) to protect your data.

    8. Cookies, analytics and advertising

    We use a small number of essential cookies (authentication, session, security) that are always active. With your consent we also use analytics and advertising cookies including Google Analytics 4, Google Ads and Leadfeeder (which identifies visiting companies, not individuals, for B2B outreach).

    For visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, all non-essential cookies are disabled by default (via Google Consent Mode v2) and only load after you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer, or by contacting us at info@battery.mba.

    Google may transfer data to servers outside the EEA (e.g. the United States). Google uses the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework as its transfer mechanism.

    The table below lists every cookie set on this site, name, purpose, provider and duration. It is generated and kept up to date automatically by our consent management platform (CookieYes).

    10. Severability

    If any provision of this Privacy Notice is held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
